The Strategic Content Editor is an influential position that has a critical seat at the table and works closely with leadership. The Strategic Content Editor deeply understands and upholds the Harbor Compliance brand and style guide, and works on creating and writing high-level strategic content. This person needs to have a reporter's skillset and the savviness to synthesize ideas and drive content creation with the leadership team. Success is defined by completing projects.


Position Details

  • Works closely with leadership to create and optimize strategic content, including brand and product positioning

  • Owns and oversees the content creation process and style guide

  • Creates, prepares, rewrites, and edits copy based on developmental feedback and to improve readability

  • Serves as senior editor for the company by providing both developmental and editorial content review on non-strategic content

  • Verifies facts, dates, and statistics, using standard reference sources

Required Qualifications :


  • Demonstrates accountability and can advance projects in a matrixed environment

  • Experience creating fresh content for a brand/market

  • Experience writing short and long-form content

  • Ability to take and incorporate feedback

  • Demonstrated experience with positioning products 

  • Self-starter who will leverage internal expertise and external sources to find answers when writing

  • Technical writing experience

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated project management skills

  • Intense attention to detail with accuracy and consistency

  • Requires a bachelor's degree and 6 or more years of experience

  • Performs work with a high degree of independence


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in public relations

  • Former management consulting or marketing agency experience a plus


Location and Hours

This is a full-time position at our Lancaster, PA office. Travel is limited. Local candidates are preferred.
