Talent Tap is partnering with a growing digital marketing agency in Harrisburg to help them hire a Branding & Marketing Strategist to their growing team!  Their Branding & Marketing Strategist places the human at the center of every experience they create, every brand they deliver, every recommendation they make. You don’t blindly craft a marketing strategy. You understand how it fits within an entire funnel. You know it will impact real lives and real businesses. You are eager to work with other Strategists to see what research and analytics can help shape the approach, and you’ve got the vision to see how it all comes together. What’s more, you are relentlessly looking for the why’s within the why’s until the real questions are found: you answer with roadmaps and strategies that allow elements and solutions to make sense and connect.

  • Guides clients through our Design Thinking process, delivering consumer/user experiences that elevate rather than maintain.

  • Collaborates with the wider team and our clients through brainstorming, the creation of impactful consumer/user experiences, and technical delivery and implementation

  • Join forces with some wicked smart (yet incredibly humble) creatives, strategists and designers.

  • Work alongside UX Strategists in discovery and research to help bring their findings to life through written reports that provide the foundation for our work.

  • You’ll be a key practitioner in developing strategic positioning statements and architecture, thinking about portfolio strategies, product launch & go-to-market road maps, brand and big idea manifestos and content architecture for our UI initiatives

  • Leads teams through ideation sessions, brainstorming, often looking into unique ways to generate ideas. 

  • Plays a key role in understanding and interpreting our clients business challenges and goals, generally led by our client advisors.

  • Knows when to elevate from tactics-oriented conversations to strategic-framing overarching thinking, establishing the agency as a strategic partner to our clients.

  • Gathers information on our client’s business processes, critical success factors, and competitive standing through interviews and research

  • Is a master storyteller and story-crafter - makes thinking and strategy visible to the world in compelling rationale and client-ready presentation/deliverable formats

  • Leads cross-disciplinary teams in consumer/user empathy work that informs and influences your strategic output

  • Owns the convergence and divergence milestones, broadening and synthesizing when needed — ability to get to the “so what,” actionable insights, key frameworks, and opportunity areas from research so the whole team can move forward

  • Actively collaborates in internal design/creative brief development owned by our Client Advisors, championing project strategy aspects of it when prompted by that team.

  • Collaborates in and/or leads consumer/user Journey Mapping activities.

  • Works in projects in various industries and verticals across roster of clients.

  • Partners with Project Management team to stay on-task, on-scope, on-brief and on-time in all initiatives.

  • In partnership with Design, plans, participates and/or facilitates design thinking workshops with our clients.

  • In UX Strategy, you’ll collaborate on how to best use research to provide a better end product, using constant communication so there’s a feedback loop.

  • On occasion, partner with Client Advisory teams assisting in pitch decks and client presentations.


 

Required Qualifications :


  • 6+ years of clear, demonstrable experience as a marketer manager, brand manager, communications manager, marketing coordinator, or similar roles, with a proven record of producing results for a variety of products, programs, or clients, either in-house or for an agency.   • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree helpful but not required: Anthropology, Business Communications, Integrated Marketing Communications, Psychology, Sociology or related fields. We are also very interested in talking with any self-taught crazy smart people with no specific degrees, but relevant experience!



  • Excellent written and verbal communication. Can you present and make sense of an entire marketing funnel with conviction and clarity?



  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative thinking across industries and projects, and across multiple channels; agency work is not required.



  • Proven ability of seeing a brand or marketing concept through from start to finish, with the ability to use data to point to results.



  • Proven ability to rapidly familiarize with complicated issues and industries



  • Demonstrated ability to nuance content in different mediums and initiatives. You may be thinking about website IA today and a social media campaign tomorrow!



  • Solid experience with design thinking and human-centered design.



  • Experience with marketing funnels and common marketing channels; experience with SEO and analytics is a must, either directly or with regular exposure as part of your team dynamics.



  • Experience in branding campaigns, deploying multichannel marketing strategies, and modern techniques of testing marketing effectiveness.
