Job Description :
Talent Tap is partnering with Godfrey, one of the nation's leading business to business marketing agencies, to help them hire an Account Manager for their full-service team.  Account Managers are responsible for managing business-to-business communications programs as well as individual projects. They are the key day-to-day interface between the agency and their clients.

 





The Godfrey Account Manager is an experienced, highly motivated, enthusiastic and energetic team player with the ability to stimulate enthusiasm in others. This position requires an organized and detail-oriented individual that also possesses highly developed communication, presentation, project and program management skills. 





Primary Responsibilities: 

 

1. Charged with researching, planning, proposing and managing programs under the supervision of the Account Group Manager. 

2. Expected to be responsible for sustainable, annual revenue of $500,000 to $1,000,000.

3. Responsible for managing programs and projects, estimating, monitoring internal and external costs, budget control, margin enhancement and billing. 

4. Expected to maintain the profitable short- and long-term growth of existing accounts, and to contribute to the acquisition of new accounts. 

5. Teamed with Associate Account Managers, depending on the needs of the clients, but generally not expected to have supervisory responsibility. 

6. Expected to maintain a billable ratio of 50-75% with a 50-75% billed ratio by focusing on billable project management and account management tasks. 

7. Accountable for and expected to integrate all Core Values (Respect, Integrity, Teamwork, Work Ethic, Learning) into overall position responsibilities.

  
Other Responsibilities: Defines project details, major deliverables and milestones; determines tasks and project schedules. Maintains and updates schedules and estimates to accommodate client/project scope changes. Tracks budget and timeline performance; communicates changes as required. Prepares schedules and estimates; supports proposal preparation. Participates in agency initiatives.

  • The ability to build strong working relationships with clients, to work effectively with the creative team, and to achieve results for their clients and the internal team.



Possible Career Paths: Senior account and group management (specialization in areas of practice marketing automation, public relations, search, social media, web/interactive)







Required Qualifications :
 


Qualifications: 

 



  • BA/BS required. (MS/MBA useful). Concentrations should include one or more of the following: communications, marketing, advertising, liberal arts. 

  • 5+ year(s) of experience in marketing communications with at least 3 of those years working on integrated programs. 

  • Understanding of, and devotion to, the principles of integrated marketing and marketing communications. 

  • Experienced or enthusiastic about digital marketing technologies

  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Can be trained for: Accounting & Scheduling Software Archiving methods
