Talent Tap is partnering with a leading fraud protection company to help them hire an Email Developer for their product team.  This person will be targeting business to business and direct to consumer end-users and offering clarity on the topics of identity theft and fraud protection. We're looking for a talented, motivated person who can work collaboratively, adhere to best practices and demonstrate passion about developing maintainable, well-coded emails. The ideal candidate will be self-driven and looking for a team where they can make a difference while also being challenged to improve their own skills! The Email Developer is responsible for development support for our emails and ongoing maintenance of our email service platform. This includes HTML development of our emails, building conditional logic for various cases, development of email life cycle programs, and maintaining email support for marketing and sales teams. This position reports directly to the Product Design Manager. 


• Work closely with Product Design Manager to support all email strategies 

• Interact across departments to support email development initiatives 

• Code responsive email templates utilizing HTML and CSS 

• Use digital media applications including but not limited to Illustrator, Photoshop and Sketch to design campaigns and modify images 

• Develop email campaigns, list segmentation and email automations in an enterprise level ESP Platform such as Responsys, SendGrid, Pardot 

• Ensure all email campaigns meet high QA standards across a variety of email clients and services 

• Conduct routine peer review on teammate's code for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to specifications and standards. 

• Proof campaigns to internal stakeholders for approval 

• Conduct ongoing research and implementation of email industry standards and best practices

• Analyze and report important email metrics to internal stakeholders 

• Balance ad-hoc requests while maintaining internal email launch schedule and business objectives 

• Use templating languages such as Handle Bars JS and FreeMarker Java for email personalization and dynamic content 

• Update internal process and reference documentation Wikis 

Required Qualifications :

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects under tight deadlines 

• Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail 

• Rudimentary HTML, CSS and Media Query knowledge for responsive email development 

• Ability to translate Photoshop comps into pixel perfect email code 

• Ability to manipulate images with Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator 

• Experience in an ESP platform 

• Implementing HTML into email platform 

• Campaign development

• Experience writing dynamic content within email 

• Basic SQL knowledge 

• Experience with structured data and SQL queries 

• Experience writing conditional statements in a programing language 

• Ability to troubleshoot rendering issues in various email clients, mobile devices and web mail • Strong problem-solving skills, including ability to troubleshoot HTML email templates and related email service platform components 

• Knowledge of: Can-spam, spam triggers, and defensive design techniques 

• Experience using reporting and analysis tools
